Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

Summary

The Restaurant Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including supervising staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including opening and closing the restaurant, managing staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Supervise and train staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
  • Ensure that all staff members are properly trained and follow all restaurant policies and procedures
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, including the dining room, kitchen, and restrooms
  • Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a restaurant setting, preferably in a management role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures
  • Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
